The TikTok Live program will be official from May 26 . At first, only a few creators who have been invited to join in a first phase will participate, as indicated by the TikTok creators account. The news of this new subscription system began to be heard at the beginning of the year, but it will finally be official.

After joining the program, creators will be able to turn their live streams from TikTok into a special “subscriber-only” mode , allowing only paid subscribers to comment; however, anyone could watch.
This modality would stimulate a dynamic of interaction between the creators and their best fans , offering exclusive questions and answers for them and, potentially, avoiding any type of offensive comments, since a paid subscriber would have to be a true follower of that content.
For now it is not known what the price of TikTok subscriptions would be ; however, some of the creators participating in the beta version of the program have pointed out that its price is comparable to that of other platforms of this type, such as Twitch. This could translate to around 5 euros, although between 30% and 50% of this income corresponds to the platform, the rest would really go to the creator.

In order to participate in TikTok Live, creators must be 18 years old and have a minimum of 1,000 followers to access the live subscriptions feature. Also, users must be over 18 years of age to purchase a subscription, as well as to be able to send or receive coins and gifts.
