The WhatsApp Communities will have their own tab within the application , so it is intuited that it will be an important section, although it is true that it is still not new that it has arrived officially and we still have a lot of information to know before its launch.
Communities have been talked about for months, in which we have been getting to know little brushes about their operation, about what they are and little else. They should be part of the WhatsApp news for 2022, but it is not even known when they will be available.
Therefore, it is a matter of waiting for them to be official, meanwhile we have new data that indicates that the Communities will have a special importance within WhatsApp , and that is that on the main screen it will have its own tab as you already have the Chats or calls.
In a screenshot of WABetaInfo we see that the Communities will be represented within WhatsApp with an icon of 3 people without text, just to the left of the “Chats” tab, so all the tabs on the main screen can fit.
It will replace the camera tab , which is the one that currently has that place, it will be like that at least in WhatsApp for Android, although surely in WhatsApp for iOS it will be something similar. By clicking on this icon, the user can see the list of the Communities in which he is.
Likewise, also in WhatsApp Web and Desktop we will see some kind of new tab with the Communities when it is available, but that point cannot be confirmed, although this functionality will surely end up arriving a little later than in mobile apps.
In any case, being something that is still in the beta phase, since it has been seen in WhatsApp beta for Android, the icon may change or there may be another way to access the Communities, so you have to see all the progress in the upcoming weeks.
At the moment there is no availability date for WhatsApp Communities , but it is likely that we will have more details in the coming weeks before it appears sometime in 2022, at least we already know that it will have its own icon within the app .
