Pluto TV already has a native app on Xbox, Windows 10 and 11

We finally have a Pluto TV app on Xbox, Windows 10 and 11 , which will make it easier to enjoy the platform’s free streaming channels. Especially on Microsoft consoles, because Pluto TV was not comfortable to watch from the Xbox browser.

The success of Pluto TV has led to apps appearing on almost all platforms. In fact, Pluto TV has just arrived on PlayStation 4 (not yet on PlayStation 5), and now Xbox owners will be able to enjoy dozens of channels for free, based on advertising.

The streaming platform has uploaded an app to the Microsoft Store of type UWP (Universal Windows Platform), which means that it works on Xbox One, Series X, Series S, Windows 10 and 11 consoles, adapting to control with a controller, mouse or touch screen, depending on the device.

Windows users typically access Pluto TV from the web browser, so this native app doesn’t make much of a difference either. In contrast, managing channels with the Xbox controller from the browser wasn’t intuitive , leaving console owners the big winners.

We have explained how to watch Pluto TV from a Smart TV, but the operating system of televisions is not always very smooth, and gaming fans tend to prefer apps designed for their video consoles when it comes to enjoying streaming services.

We have tested the new Pluto TV application and it runs smoothly, with a very similar experience to other devices.

The arrival of Pluto TV on Xbox is great news , and there will also be Windows 10/11 users who will take the opportunity to download it from the Microsoft Store and use it on PC.
