Artificial intelligence-based driving assistance is constantly improving and more and more cars are using it in some way. Some manufacturers (such as Tesla) are experts in this type of system, but that does not mean that others want to be left behind. Such is the case of Huawei, which showed that it has one of the best technologies for parking cars thanks to HarmonyOS. How do we know? Keep reading, find out and be surprised with what you will see.

Huawei’s car can park itself even in the most difficult places

A few months ago, the BAIC group presented the ArcFox Alpha S EV, a car for the Asian market developed jointly with Huawei. What is special about this car? Not too much, but inside it it carries HarmonyOS, Huawei’s operating system, which takes care of the tasks of: entertainment, navigation, communication and controlling the Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS, in English).

Being a car for Asia (and mainly for China) not much was known about it in the West, but thanks to a post on Weibo it recently became news. What happened? That the blogger @ Garage42 leaked a video in which he tests the parking system that Huawei designed for the Arcfox Alpha, and the result is excellent .

In the test, it is seen how the driver arrives at a parking lot and selects a place to park that requires a lot of maneuverability. The surprise? HarmonyOS was able to perfectly plan the route to follow and execute the necessary maneuvers to park the car.

Huawei showed that even parking a car is an easy task for harmonyOS

All this without even messing up, a situation that led the blogger to ensure that Huawei has the best automatic parking system on the market. In the video it is clearly seen that the car required time to achieve its goal, since it even had to turn the car completely to enter backwards. However, it did so without a scratch and without intervention from the driver.

This proves how well Huawei is doing with the development of HarmonyOS, especially since it is not an operating system designed for a single type of device, but for: mobile phones, computers, tablets, wearables, cars and more.

Although, beware, ArcFox cannot be detracted from, because the Alpha S is an electric car in which more than 1,000 million dollars were invested in development. In what did it go is grassland? In creating a car designed for autonomous driving, which also has laser sensors, 12 ultrasonic radars and 13 panoramic cameras that work together thanks to a Kirin 990A chip .
