We all want our mobile to receive Android 13 to enjoy all its news. However, it is a benefit that some will not have , since their devices have already completed their period of support and updates.

In the case of Xiaomi, the company is already working on MIUI 14, the new version of its update layer. For a good number of devices, the jump to MIUI 14 will mean the update to Android 13, but not for others. Xiaomi has just announced that these 11 mobiles will not receive Android 13 , although they will make the jump to MIUI 14.

Android 13 no, but MIUI 14 yes (although later)

Since Android 13 came out of the oven, Xiaomi started working on MIUI 14 for a lot of devices. Over the last few weeks we have been updating the list, but Xiaomi announced a last minute change .

Since October 31, the Chinese manufacturer stopped the development of the MIUI Chinese ROM based on Android 13 for 11 mobiles. What does this mean? That they simply will not update to Android 13, although they will probably receive MIUI 14. However, the MIUI update may come much later, because they are no longer priority devices.

As we already mentioned, the initial list is 11 smartphones, but in the coming weeks it could be expanded . At the moment, these are the affected:

  • Xiaomi 11 LE / Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE.
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra.
  • Redmi K30 Ultra.
  • Redmi Note 11E Pro.
  • Redmi Note 11 5G / POCO M4 Pro 5G.
  • Redmi Note 10.
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro / Xiaomi 10T Lite.
  • Redmi Note 9 5G.
  • Redmi Note 9 4G / Redmi 9T / Redmi 9 Power.
  • Redmi 10X Pro.
  • Redmi 10X.

The announcement mentions only the stoppage in the development of the internal beta of MIUI 14 for China. However, it is important to remember that this ROM is updated before the global version, so it is logical to assume that the entire market will be affected .

No more internal betas for MIUI

Along with the above announcement, Xiaomi revealed that from now on they will not publish daily and internal betas of MIUI for users to try. They will only release stable and weekly betas of Chinese ROMs , in order to reduce the error rate that occurs when installing unstable betas.

This is an interesting move on the part of Xiaomi, since this way they will be able to work with a little more peace of mind . However, we do not know what these last minute changes by the manufacturer are due to. We will be attentive to any other news.
