Do you think that you still don’t have a compelling reason to install Windows 11 on your computer? In February you will have it with total security. Microsoft announced that it is ready to support all users who want to use Android apps on Windows 11 and that is news that you have surely been waiting for.

Android apps for everyone on Windows 11, Microsoft is ready for public launch

Windows 11 is already on its way to celebrating half a year since its launch and one of its most anticipated features by the mobile community is compatibility with Android apps. However, until now this functionality has had some problems that have delayed it for the public launch: first, in October it was not ready to be presented with Windows 11; later, Microsoft added limited support for those users who are part of the development channel (Windows Insider).

This last one helped in some way to calm the anxiety of the users, but it was a release with many requirements to meet and several bugs along the way. However, it seems that Microsoft has fixed some problems, regained confidence and is ready to release the installation of Android apps in Windows 11 to everyone. The exact launch date is not known, but it is known that it will be in February 2022 .

We wish we could tell you otherwise, but the massive rollout of this new feature comes in small print. The release will not add full support for Android apps, but will be a “public preview” .

What is this statement about? We really do not know, since the company did not give further details. However, we imagine that some functions will be missing to implement, greater compatibility with apps or even resolve some bugs.

Still, support will arrive in February, and it will do so much like how it works right now in the Windows 11 beta : users go to the Microsoft Store, navigate to the Amazon Appstore that’s built in, sign in to their Amazon and download some of the available apps on your computer.

Why did Microsoft decide to make this release midway through development? Probably due to the imminent arrival of Google Play Games on Windows as a stand-alone app within Windows 10 and 11.

Is Microsoft afraid that they will eat their cake? Over time we will see if the official Microsoft store manages to rise above the Google store in Windows, or not. What do you think will happen?
