Nobody talks to you on WhatsApp? Now you can talk to yourself thanks to its new function

After many years on Telegram, being able to talk to yourself comes to WhatsApp. Yes, one of Telegram’s best features will once again end up in Zuckerberg’s messaging app. WABetaInfo has revealed a series of screenshots showing a new chat that will soon be available to all users around the world. What chat? The highly acclaimed “Me” or “You”.

These types of chats were made popular by Telegram and are already in a large part of the most popular messaging applications. Of course, except WhatsApp. It is a simple and almost ridiculous concept, but extremely useful.

WhatsApp will allow you to talk to yourself

The new function is based on a new chat called “Yo” (You) to which you can send any type of content. Who receives it? Nobody, it’s a chat with yourself to which you can send content to have it available whenever you want. It’s like a notepad, but in the app you (probably) use the most on your smartphone. Always accessible, without having to search for other apps in the interface.

You can send photos, messages, reminders, audios, whatever you want will always remain in that chat with yourself and no one will receive it. You can consult it from any device on which you have configured the app.

Of course, it also serves to send things from the mobile to the PC. Do you want to copy a text on your mobile and paste it on your PC? You paste it into your WhatsApp conversation and rescue it from your PC in just a few seconds. The same with photographs, a video or a Word file.

There are already alternatives, but it is not the same

There are already users who have had this chat for years, although with a trick that, yes or yes, must involve another person. It’s as easy as creating a group with another person, kicking them out, and then using that group as a chat with yourself .

Only you will be in that group to have everything you send at hand. Now WhatsApp wants to make the function official without having to create any group and involve another person, even for 1 second.

The feature is in beta and it is possible that in the coming weeks it will be extended to the stable and global version of WhatsApp . To start using it, it will be as simple as clicking on search for a contact and seeing that chat with yourself at the top of the list. How about? Do you use the solo group trick?
