AMC + will soon reach more countries: another alternative to Netflix

The AMC+ streaming content platform will arrive in Latin America this year, leaving behind the exclusivity in the United States. The company plans that its platform will operate before the end of 2022 in the main LATAM markets and that it could have the same name with which it operates in North America.

This streaming content service has several services gathered within its product portfolio, from Acorn TV, Shudder and HIDIVE, which also incorporates Sentai FilmWorks and which has anime as its specialty. The company is already working on international deployment, which does not leave closed the possibilities of joining the Spanish market, later on.

The strategy to get AMC+ out of the United States will be through the commercialization of the platform through pay TV operators , something that they have already been doing with Acorn TV, their objective is to find allies in the different markets to distribute the content and not a direct business format.

Together with AMC+, the company AMC Networks International plans to appear in the Latin American market with its Shudde platform , a video-on-demand subscription service that specializes in horror, suspense and supernatural fiction titles.

It is expected that HIDIVE will also be incorporated, a service through which they could distribute great classics of anime and Japanese cinema, with a robust library of content such as Made in Abyss, Akame ga KILL!, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, and Parasyte.

The official deployment of AMC+ in Latin America could be taking place at the end of 2022 and the service offer could begin in the third quarter of this year.
