WhatsApp on Mobile and Tablet: it is now possible to use the same number, at the same time, on both devices

The battle of WhatsApp and tablets has been an odyssey for many users for some time. The platform spent years without offering service on these devices, and when it did, it left a lot to be desired. Today it’s time to talk about the true support for WhatsApp on Tablets . One of the latest beta updates has revealed the new strategy to be able to use the same phone number on a smartphone and a tablet at the same time. Do you want to know how?

Since WhatsApp is working on multi-device support, we are seeing interesting and very useful changes for users. The arrival of WhatsApp for tablets is something that many users have been waiting for years.

WhatsApp for tablet with the same number as on mobile

WhatsApp is launching a banner on beta users’ phones to announce the feature. The company is telling users that if they have an Android tablet they can now set up the same phone number as on their mobile and use both devices at the same time.

Until now it was possible to download WhatsApp for the tablet, but it was mandatory to configure a phone number. If you configured the same one you had on your mobile, it was deleted. Now it is possible to configure both devices with the same number and use the service simultaneously, just as you would from a PC.

There is just one thing you should keep in mind: at the moment the feature is only available in the beta version of WhatsApp . It is possible that it will be implemented soon in the global and stable version, but the approximate date is unknown.

If you have the beta version, you can try downloading WhatsApp on your tablet and see if it allows you to scan the QR code from your mobile. If the app prompts you to manually enter a phone number and set it up, the feature is not yet ready on your device/region.
