Good news for iPhone users is that WhatsApp on iOS now allows you to listen to audio in the background . This is a function that the messaging application has been experiencing for a few weeks and that allows users with the Apple phone to listen to audio from other chats while they are in another conversation.
This new feature of WhatsApp that arrives in 2022, belongs to version 22.4.75, among other new features, it allows users to play their voice messages and audio files without having to stay in that chat until the end. You will then be able to switch to another chat, answer other messages and go to the groups, playing the audio in the background without being cut off.

Background audio in WhatsApp comes after the app recently announced several important features, such as the ability to pause and resume recording a voice message, even allowing people to listen to that message before sending it. A previous update for iOS 15, version 22.2.75, brought an additional setting that allows you to see the profile picture of the sender on the iPhone lock screen, after receiving a notification. This feature was already available in other apps like Twitter and Slack.
Finally, this previous version added support for iOS Focus mode , which allows users to be able to select a group of contacts who can message or interrupt you, even when this kind of “Do Not Disturb” mode is activated. This feature set may not yet be available to all users, even if they have the device.
