WhatsApp adds the new emojis we expected

They are almost here, a recent version of WhatsApp for Android is adding the new emojis that were yet to come and that we have known for a few weeks, although the bad news is that they are not yet available to almost anyone who uses this app on Android.

And that’s because the new list of emojis is only available to users who are in the WhatsApp for Android beta, they are the only ones who could already update to a new version of the app to enjoy sending all the new emojis that are added.

iPhone users already know what emojis are because they are the same ones that came not long ago in iOS 15.4 , a version that was recently released for Apple devices, the novelty is that they are now available for Android in WhatsApp.

According to WABetaInfo, the new emojis arrive in WhatsApp beta 2.22.8.8 for Android , so you could see them if you update to that version of the beta on your Android. This means that the final release is yet to come to the stable version of WhatsApp, and that it would do so shortly.

To give you some examples, it is worth highlighting the arrival of new emojis with different skin tones of the emoji of the intertwined hands to greet, some new faces and also a diversity of objects as varied as a float, disco ball, water lily, swing, wheel, etc.

New hand gestures are also added, among others. It is a matter of updating to the indicated WhatsApp beta if you have an Android phone, in case you have an iPhone it would be enough to check if you have the iOS 15.4 update available to install.

If you don’t want to install the beta, the best thing you can do now is wait for a new WhatsApp update to arrive in the Google Play Store with the new emojis, although it is not certain that this next version will arrive with the emojis, but it is most likely Yes.

In a future update of WhatsApp for Android , it should not only arrive with the new emojis , but also another series of new features that we have been learning about throughout 2021 and 2022, but that do not yet have an official availability date.
