Disney+ is one of the most important streaming platforms . However, with the competition that exists between so many streaming services, this platform must find ways not to lose money, so now they will monitor shared accounts.

Note that one of the reasons why Netflix has lost multiple subscribers is the use of shared accounts. So even though Netflix was reportedly not shutting down account sharing, it appears that other platforms like Disney+ will be keeping track of account sharing .

Disney + could also end shared accounts

Disney + is taking measures not to lose subscribers and thus not stop making money as has happened to Netflix. So it looks like Disney+ will take steps to end shared accounts and improve their platform, but how will they do it?

Well, in Disney + they have begun to send surveys by email to some of their users . In email surveys, Disney+ asks its subscribers what some of the reasons might be for them to share an account. Among the answers, Disney+ users can indicate that they do not use the platform service frequently, that they want to help a family member, that they do not want to pay for the service, etc.

Disney+ survey responses may give you clues as to why they’re not growing as fast as you’d expect , as with shared accounts fewer users will sign up for their services. Also, after analyzing all the answers, Disney + can take concrete measures such as launching a cheaper subscription and with ads or offering other services.

In short, shared accounts are not useful to streaming platforms at all and that is why Disney + wants to end them. However, so far they are only doing surveys to analyze what they should do. Either way, Disney+ is expected to take steps to remove shared accounts soon. After all, it’s in Disney+’s interest to have as many subscribers as possible, right? .

For now , we can only wait to find out what measures Disney + will take on shared accounts, but what do you think? Do you think that Disney + will be able to end shared accounts?
