Since the iPhone X, which was Apple’s first full-screen mobile, few changes have been made to the notch that has accompanied us since that generation of mobiles. It is a design element that Apple is reluctant to remove , probably due to the presence of Face ID and other reasons.
However, in the new iPhone 13 it was able to reduce its size lengthwise and make it up to 20% smaller, however, it was not completely eliminated. Apple will have its reasons why it doesn’t make it even smaller or replace it despite the presence of Face ID.
Many have hopes in the future iPhone 14 as a mobile that will remove or reduce it even more, which will predictably make its appearance in September 2022 because at the Apple Event on March 8 we will not see these new models, but it seems that it will not be like that. .
bigger than expected
In recent months, there have been various render leaks that conclude that the future iPhone 14 will replace the notch with a smaller tab where FaceID and the camera would be embedded in the screen, and this tab would not be glued to the top.
But one last piece of information suggests that it will not only be like that, but that it will be larger than what had really been leaked until now, maintaining the same size in terms of the width of the notch that the current iPhone 13 have. In short, it would be a similar notch.
As seen in the image, it would have an “i” design , with the FaceID in the largest part and the separate camera and on the right side, but the width would hardly change with respect to the iPhone 13 notch , but the design would be different from what we have now.
It does not seem that Apple wants to get rid of the notch or at least a somewhat similar design like the one that the iPhone 14 could have, in fact, its latest MacBook Pro includes the notch, so the truth is that it seems to continue to be a necessary design element to the company.
