The methods to check if your smartphone has dual SIM are as follows:
Pull out the SIM card tray
The first method is to remove the tray where you insert the SIM card from your mobile. Said tray is located on the sides of the mobile and is extracted by inserting the key that comes in the box into a small hole that you will see next to the tray slot.
If you don’t have such a key, any firm wire capable of getting into the hole will work. If said smartphone is dual SIM , you will know it because when you remove the tray you will see that there is room for two SIM cards.
Some phones have dual SIM, but do not have the tray in question because the chips are inserted in the back. In that case, what you can also try is to remove the back cover (if you can remove it and put it back) and see if there are two SIM card slots.
Check if your mobile has two IMEI codes
Another of the methods that exist to find out if your mobile is dual SIM is to check the outside of the smartphone box and see if two IMEI codes appear written anywhere . Sometimes it is not even necessary to look for the IMEI codes on the box because it can be written on it if said smartphone has dual SIM.
This is not the only way to know if your mobile has two IMEI codes. You can also go to the menu to make calls and write *#06# and if your mobile is dual SIM, the two IMEI codes will automatically appear, if it is not, only one code will appear.
Check in the settings panel
In the configuration section of your mobile you could also confirm if it has dual SIM. If you want to know how to verify it in the configuration, follow these instructions:
- Enter the “Settings” section.
- Then, enter “SIM cards and mobile networks” and when you do so it will appear if your mobile has dual SIM capacity and how many cards you have installed.
On some Android phones (depending on the version and the customization layer ) this option may be located elsewhere and have a different name. Perhaps you can locate them in a section called “networks and internet” very close to the WiFi and Bluetooth settings.
Look for the technical sheet of your mobile in its configuration
An option that would also work for you is to look for the technical sheet of your smartphone. To get it follow these steps:
- Enter “Settings” .
- Enter “About phone”.
- Choose the option called “All specifications”.
- Enter “Status” and there you will see the name and model of your smartphone.
The next thing is to use this information to search for its specifications on the internet and in this way you will be able to know if your smartphone is dual SIM or not. Although it may not be necessary for you to do so, some mobiles also provide you with this information in that section.
Of course, there is a detail and it is the same thing that happens with the verification in the configuration panel that we explained to you previously. Depending on your mobile, its Android version and customization layer, these options may have different names and be located in other areas.
