The WhatsApp camera is not the favorite of users. WABetaInfo has discovered that in the beta version 2.22.21.8 of WhatsApp for Android there is a new camera that allows you to experiment with various modes and possibilities. Below, you can see the leaked capture of the new camera and some details revealed.

As you can see in the image, WhatsApp’s built-in camera will be completely redesigned to look more like a normal camera app. At the bottom, you can see that at the moment it only offers the two basic modes of any camera: photo and video . These two modes in the current version of the WhatsApp camera are also present, but the way to access them is different: you must press once to take photos and long press to record video.
Now, WhatsApp will most likely take advantage of this new mode bar to add new ways to use the camera from the application . We would not be surprised if this is the first step to copy some functions of the Instagram camera, such as filters.
But as we always say with these types of leaks, this new WhatsApp feature is under development and we don’t know when it will reach users . In this case, we can only say that it will be released in a future update.
