TikTok also joins, it is looking for moderators for its platform
Managing to become the application with the most downloads in the world, the owners behind TikTok have found themselves in a somewhat complicated situation, since controlling that all users respect the rules is a very laborious job .
Although there are algorithms that can detect when a publication, photo, video or sound should not be within the platform , they often fail a lot.
It is for this reason that TikTok has begun to hire moderators to verify the complaints manually. These jobs, at the moment, are only being offered in India (the job offer is expected to expand over the next few years).
How much does a Facebook and TikTok moderator earn?
According to job offers that can be found on job search apps and websites, a Facebook moderator is earning between €1,500 and €2,000 per month . On the other hand, a moderator working for TikTok would be earning between €1,700 and €2,100 per month .
Of course, it is important to mention that the working hours of the moderators are usually very different from those of an ordinary job:
- You are only allowed to work 4 to 6 hours maximum.
- A single rest day is offered , which is usually rotating (the employee cannot choose the day in question).
- Work cannot be done remotely (employees must attend company offices).
- Employees undergo a psychological test once a month .
