Paying fines is something no one likes to do for obvious reasons. And it is not only the fact of spending a lot of money for breaking a rule, but also having to physically go to a Traffic office, Post office or an associated bank to complete the procedure , which is very lazy. Luckily, in Spain we have the miDGT app that makes procedures like this a little less annoying.
If the miDGT application already seemed wonderful to us for replacing the physical driving license, now that it has added an option that allows you to pay fines from your mobile, we like it even more. This new function of miDGT has been accompanied by other very useful new features that we will review below.
How to pay fines from your mobile with miDGT
If you want to pay a fine from your mobile, now it’s as easy as following these steps:
- Open the miDGT app.
- Log in with your digital certificate, electronic ID or Cl@ve system.
- Tap the three vertical lines in the top left corner.
- Select My Fines .
- You will see a list with all pending payment penalties.
- Click on See details on the one you want to pay.
- Click on the option to pay fine and add your bank details.
- You can use credit or debit card.
- Lastly, tap on Make Payment . You may need to authorize the transaction from your bank’s app.
- Ready!
By the way, you should know that the fines appear with some delay in the application. So update and refresh the app whenever you can.

Other novelties that arrive at miDGT are the possibility of downloading complaints, sanctions and proof of prior appointment, and the option of consulting the results of exams . Authentication methods have also been expanded so that everyone can use the app without excuses.
If you want to manage the administrative status of your car in Spain , there is no doubt that the miDGT app is all you need. Well, you may also need a PIN Code to identify yourself more easily on the platforms of the different public administrations.
