New Google Maps widget: real-time traffic
From now on all Android mobiles with Google Maps have a new function available. It has arrived from the server side, so it is not necessary to have updated the app from Google Play. What is it about? It is a new widget related to traffic and location in real time.
The objective of this widget is that you place it on the home screen to document in real time about car traffic in your area. This one is big and it’s interactive: you can click on the magnifying glass icon to zoom in or out.
Thanks to it you will be able to know, in real time, the traffic situation in your location . This will be shown with the classic green, yellow or red lines depending on the fluidity of the cars in each zone.
The best thing about this function is that you do not need to enter Google Maps to know the traffic data . You just have to take a look at the widget and that’s it. It is a matter of time before it is available on all Android mobiles and placing it is extremely simple.
You simply have to make a long press on an empty area of the home screen, enter the ” Widgets ” section and search for the Google Maps app. Place it in the position you want, grant the corresponding permissions and you will be able to have the traffic in your area always available at a glance.
