As usual for some generations, Xiaomi is already preparing to launch the shortened version of its 2022 top of the range. We are talking about the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G, which is already certified and its first details have been leaked . Will it live up to its predecessor?

Since the Mi 9, Xiaomi has always presented a “Lite” version of its high-end. The latest version was the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, which pleasantly surprised everyone and set the bar very high for the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G.
The latter is already in sight on the horizon, as it recently received approval from the FCC (China) and TKDN (Indonesia) , as well as EEC certification and its Geekbench file. Thanks to all this, a lot of data about the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G was also leaked, which are these that we leave below:
- 6.55-inch AMOLED screen , Full HD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor with Adreno 642L graphics.
- 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256 GB storage in UFS 2.2 format.
- Triple rear camera with 64 MP Samsung ISOCELL GW3 main sensor + ultra wide angle + macro sensor.
- Android 12 under MIUI 13.
- Dual-band WiFi 6 connectivity, dual-SIM 5G , USB-C, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS.
Within the leak, the first result of this mobile was also seen in Geekbench 5 : 2,864 points in the multi-core test and 788 points in the single-core test. Besides, since the Snapdragon 778G is a widely known chip, we know that its AnTuTu performance will be around 540,000 points. At the moment data about the battery and the charging system are unknown, although there is still something to be said.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G could be the global version of the Xiaomi CIVI
If you follow Xiaomi mobiles, then you will surely have noticed that the leaked specifications are very similar to those of the Xiaomi CIVI presented in China.
In fact, its only difference seems to be in the design of the back , which in the leaked images looks more like its older brother, the Xiaomi 12. We do not rule out that the new Xiaomi mobile may have some variant with the fantastic cracked design of the CIVI, but we will not take it for granted either.
And if this assumption is true that the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G is the CIVI for the global market, then we can add an extra fact: it could come with a 4,500 mAh battery and 55 W fast charge . In addition, we could complete the technical sheet, but it is better to wait for everything to be confirmed.
