Xiaomi’s Poco F4 GT is now official, the new flagship model of a sub-brand that is aimed at offering the best possible specifications at a “low cost” price. The Poco F4 GT points to the world of gaming , although avoiding a very garish design that distances it from the general public.
The Xiaomi 12 range offers a lot of power, but it is not optimized for video games, something that the Poco F4 GT solves. We are talking about a mobile with a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate , and a 480 Hz touch update.
It is compatible with HDR10+ color, its brightness reaches 800 nits and it supports PWM dimming at 1,920 mAh , which results in less eye strain when using very low brightness levels. All this protected by Gorilla Glass Victus , and placing the selfie camera in a hole in the upper central area.
In terms of hardware, the Poco F4 GT uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 pointer, which provides very high power in gaming, with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage . Advanced cooling has been integrated, to maintain performance during games.
The Poco F4 GT opts for metallic finishes, and a striking rear camera module with configurable colored LEDs . There we find a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP wide angle and a 2 MP macro, while the 20 MP front camera takes care of the selfies.
On one side of the Poco F4 GT we have hidden two magnetic triggers for video games with physical response, similar to a console, which are activated by switches. At first, more than 100 games are supported , including popular names like Genshin Impact or PUBG, and we can also use them as shortcuts for apps.
The sound of the Poco F4 GT is also oriented towards gaming, we have a double speaker (2 woofers and 2 tweeters) on the upper and lower edges placed asymmetrically. In this way, when holding the mobile horizontally we will never cover both at the same time.
The 4,700 mAh battery is simply correct, but the fast charge at 120 W stands out, capable of reaching 100% capacity in less than 18 minutes. A 120W charger is included, with a special cable facing the side, to make it comfortable to play with the Poco F4 GT horizontally while charging it.
In command we find Android 12 under the MIUI 13 for Poco customization layer, so the phone comes out with the latest software.

The Poco F4 GT goes on sale from today April 26, 2022 in black, silver and yellow colors , the latter with a glass coating. These are the prices of the two versions:
- 8 GB + 128 GB for €599 (€499 at launch).
- 12GB + 256GB for €699 (€599 at launch).
The launch discount of 100 euros will remain available until April 29.
Of course, the Poco F4 GT is an attractive gaming mobile , and more discreet for day-to-day use than rivals such as the Lenovo Legion or the Black Shark. In addition, its good value for money places it among the best Xiaomi phones to buy in 2022.
