Surely you have ever thought of donating money for Bizum to an NGO and you did not know how to do it. Take note, because you will achieve it by following these simple steps.
First of all, what is Bizum? It is a portal that works through your bank and allows you to send and receive money instantly , unlike bank transfers. It can be used with any contact that also has the application, whether they are individuals, associated online businesses and social donations.
To make a donation, the first thing is to access the Bizum Help website (bizum.help) from your smartphone or computer. Once inside, you will see a search engine that says “Find your cause” and an index of social causes and NGOs that are requesting donations through Bizum.
Currently, you can find 33 active causes : Open Arms, gender violence, environment, Amnesty International, animal rescue and various causes for the war in Ukraine, among others.
If you click on any of them, you will enter their file and you will be able to learn more about the specific objectives of said cause. The main thing is to know that each cause has a Bizum code on its file, which you can easily copy to the clipboard. The code is the identifier of each cause.
Once the code has been copied, you only have to open the Bizum application from your mobile or PC and click on the “Donation/NGO Donation” section. This varies depending on the bank you are. Then, you only have to paste the code copied above, indicate the money you want to donate and send it.
And don’t worry, everything you donate will go entirely to the NGO . You don’t have to worry about commissions or fees. You should also know that there is a money limit on each donation: 1,000 euros . However, there are no limits on the number of donations you can make.
In addition, you also have the possibility to request a donation certificate . To do this, you will have to search for the beneficiary organization in the list of NGOs in Bizum Help and send them an email to the email address that appears. You must include the following information: name and surname, ID, postal address, email, amount donated and date of donation.
