The success of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 continues to leave consequences. The arrival on the market of these Samsung mobiles meant the confirmation that the folding ones were back to stay . Not only because the South Korean brand failed to meet the high demand for these terminals, but also motivated other manufacturers to launch their first foldables on the market: Vivo, Honor, Huawei and OPPO.
Well, so far all of the foldables we’ve seen (including Samsung’s) are priced pretty high , as they’re designed as high-end or premium phones. But now, those from South Korea want to set the standard again within the folding sector and to do so they will launch something that many of us are waiting for: an economical folding .
A rumor indicates that Samsung would launch a folding Galaxy A in 2024
A well-known Samsung leaker (@chunvn8888) has revealed on his Twitter account that the manufacturer is working on a new foldable for its Galaxy A series . Let us remember that this is the mid- range of Samsung mobiles, whose prices usually range between 300 and 500 euros . Also, as you can read in the tweet below, we will have to wait a bit, since it is likely to arrive in 2024 or 2025 .

It is not surprising that current folding phones are expensive terminals. Folding touch screens are a relatively new technology, so they are not cheap to produce . In fact, it’s quite understandable that Samsung’s first budget foldable would take up to 3 years to arrive, as during that time the production costs of these screens are likely to be reduced.
Is this rumor true? Well, although it is a leak and there is nothing confirmed yet by Samsung , it is quite credible that this could happen. Technologies such as the fingerprint reader, double or triple cameras and OLED panels were initially features of premium phones and that we now see in the mid-range, even in the low range. Therefore, it is not unreasonable to believe that Samsung is working to launch a cheap foldable in the near future.
