Locket is the most downloaded app so far in 2022 . It is a new social network that has managed to climb to the top of the Apple App Store lists, basically it is a tool in which you can share photos with friends and they will be displayed in a widget on the home screen of iOS, turning the iPhone’s widget system into a kind of personal social network.
The new Locket app hit the market only on January 1, 2022 and since its appearance it has managed to accumulate more than two million downloads worldwide, so it has done better than Clubhouse at the time.
You can use Locket, but only if you have an iPhone
The app is currently only available for iOS , so you won’t be able to have it on Android right now. By January 8, this app had already been placed at the head of the most downloaded applications in the United States this year, but it has also taken the position of the most downloaded social network on iOS.
More than 30 percent of Locket’s current downloads come from the United States , although the platform is available for download from any country, you only need a phone number to create your registration and start using it.
You should know that the Locket application requires some permissions to work, for example, you will have to give it access to the contacts and the mobile camera , since they are necessary for it to start working.
In a future update, the developers would be incorporating a function so that people can choose who to invite to the platform , instead of granting access to the contact list.
The next step, after adding contacts, is for Locket to place the app’s widget on your iPhone’s home screen so you can start viewing photos. You can also use the same tool to share your own photos with personalized messages through iMessage.
