WhatsApp will make chatting with unknown numbers easier

The process that must be followed to be able to chat on WhatsApp with an unknown number (that you do not have added as a contact) is not very intuitive. If you want to send messages on WhatsApp without saving the contact, you have to open the chats externally using a certain link in your browser. Although it is not at all complicated to do, the truth is that this procedure is quite tedious. WhatsApp knows this and already has a solution.

According to what WABetaInfo reports, the beta version 2.22.8.11 of WhatsApp for Android has released a new menu that appears when you touch an unknown number in a chat . When doing this before, the calling app on your mobile immediately jumped, but now there are several options so you can chat with the unknown number or save it without going around so much.

Chatting with strangers on WhatsApp will be easier than ever

After allowing you to send files of up to 2 GB, the new big change that will come soon to WhatsApp will be the possibility of chatting with unknown numbers by pressing a couple of buttons. As you can see in the screenshots, when you touch any number in a WhatsApp chat, the application will tell you if there is a WhatsApp account associated with that number or not . If there is, it will offer you three options: chat, call or save as a contact. If the number does not have WhatsApp, you will only see the last two options.

Note that the chat option will allow you to send messages to the number via WhatsApp, while the call option will take you to your phone’s calling app (it won’t be for calling it on WhatsApp). And the option to save it as a contact will open the contacts app that you use on your mobile, with the number already available in the indicated place to add it.

This new WhatsApp options menu for unknown numbers is available from beta version 2.22.8.11 which can be downloaded by all beta testers. If you use the normal version of WhatsApp, don’t worry, because this update is rolling out right now and will start to reach all users in the coming days.
