Google has made a small change in the display of the icons of the apps that are being installed, very similar to the Apple style . This change arrives for Android 12 and it also seems that it is only available for the Google Pixel launcher. So, you may not be able to see it on your mobile yet.
Surely you have noticed that when you download an application, it appears in the list of apps on your mobile only when it has already been installed. Also, if you have the option to add the new app icon to the home screen enabled, it will appear automatically when the app is ready . There is nothing new in this.
However, now you will be able to see the app installation process directly on the home screen. During the download, the icon of the new app will appear bordered by a progress bar, this tells you how long it takes for the app to be ready . It is a minor detail but it could hold a surprise, which we will talk about next.

It seems impossible but Google is already working on it. And it goes without saying that this could save you a lot of time. Download a game, try it out, and if you don’t like it, stop the download and get rid of it . This feature could work especially for those games that are very heavy, in which large packets of data are usually downloaded.
Without a doubt, it would be very interesting if this option allows us to preview a game or an application. But if that’s not the case, at least it’s more visually appealing .
