Today we know one of the most important novelties of its design. The leaks tell us that Xiaomi will forget about the glass for two of the versions of the Xiaomi 13 . The most used material in smartphones will be replaced by another that is rarely used. It will have a leather back !
It is not the first time we have heard about leather and its implementation in smartphones. Huawei has some models with synthetic leather and other brands have also opted for this material in exclusive versions. Now Xiaomi wants to democratize leather smartphones.
The Xiaomi 13 will have a leather back in the colors pink and green
The leaks tell us that Xiaomi would launch 4 different colors for the Xiaomi 13 : black, white, pink and green. The first two would be standard with a glass back and the pink and green colors would opt for leather backs.
They would not be sold as exclusive versions, but as one more option within the catalog . This, unwittingly, makes them exclusive, since almost no device on the market has a leather back. And if they do, its price skyrockets as it is an exclusive version.
And don’t worry about the animals, when you talk about leather, you’re almost certainly talking about synthetic options . Xiaomi is not going to play it to launch a device with real leather. It is much more sustainable, economical and moral to opt for synthetic leather.

The leather back, an update of the photographic sensors and a new processor will be the most important novelties of this device. Everything indicates that it will be a fairly continuous terminal, as will the Galaxy S23 or OnePlus 11.
