Some Xiaomi mobile users will have free YouTube Premium thanks to an agreement between the manufacturer and Google. They are only some current models, and they will give us 2 or 3 months of YouTube depending on the Xiaomi phone we have.
We have already explained when you have to pay for YouTube Premium, so it means saving 11.99 euros per month. Thanks to Xiaomi, the usual trial period of 1 month is doubled or tripled , although Google accounts that have already been subscribed at some point cannot benefit.
These are the mobiles that participate in the YouTube Premium promotion:
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 (any model) : 2 months free.
- Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE : 3 months free.
- Xiaomi 11T and 11 T Pro : 3 months free.
Surprisingly, the recent Xiaomi 12 is not included, although this may change. For now they have been launched in China, so it is possible that in their announcement for the international market they will be added to the list.

Before the free period ends, we must unsubscribe from the service if we are not interested in continuing to pay, since by default we are asked for a means of payment to continue the subscription at the end of the offer.
Another important detail is that only mobiles activated before December 2021 are valid, something that will be a problem in the Xiaomi 11 and 11T.
YouTube Premium eliminates ads in videos, it also allows us to play YouTube Music songs, download content to watch it offline and even use the app in audio mode with the screen off.
Perhaps more of the phones that Xiaomi will launch in 2022 include this extra attraction, as Google is making efforts to popularize YouTube Premium and not rely exclusively on ads for revenue.
