Now we will show you how you can have notifications when your contacts are connected to WhatsApp from WhatsApp Web and with the WA Web Plus extension for Google Chrome, you just have to follow these simple steps:
- The first step will be to access the download page of the extension in the Web Chrome Store.

- Click the “Add to Chrome” button.
- Next, we will have a button like this on the taskbar, this icon indicates that we have already installed the extension.
- Now we click on that icon and a new tab will open with the WhatsApp Web version , but with the built-in extension.
- At first glance we have a window exactly the same as the normal version of WhatsApp Web , but if we click on the extension icon again, its settings will open.
- In order to know if your contacts are online without entering the chat, we will have to activate two options: “Highlight online contacts” and “Notify about online contacts” .
In this way, every time a contact is inside WhatsApp, a notification and a green dot will appear in the bottom left of the screen on the profile photo of the contact that is connected.
With this simple trick that is only available for WhatsApp Web , you will be able to know the online status of each contact without having to enter the chat . This is the only way to make it possible, you should know that it is not available for Android and iOS unless you use one of the WhatsApp mods that exist.
