Google Play Store launches new logo for its tenth anniversary
It is not the first time that Google has changed the logo of its store. Google Play has had three logo changes since its launch in 2012, when it replaced Android Market. And if we add the changes of the latter there would be several more. Who does not remember the basket with the green robot?
Rebranding itself as Google Play, the idea of the logo was clear: a four-color playback triangle that we all know today. Similarly, we can not forget that initially the Play Store application icon inherited the Android Market basket, but changing the green robot for the new logo.
However, things are changing and we can see how the initial logo of Google Play, although it maintains the idea, has been simplified until the result is the new logo that it debuts for its tenth anniversary , changing the shape of the triangle, the proportion of the colors, and the tonality of the same. In the same way, it eliminates the gradient of the colors, having a flatter and simpler result, all this with the intention of fitting in with the current design line of Google applications.
Although the new change may or may not be liked, at the moment it is only available in the web version of the store , but it should not take long to reach our mobiles through an update of the application.
Google Play Store celebrates its anniversary with bonus points
On the other hand, the change of logo is not the only thing that Google announced regarding the tenth anniversary of its store, since it will offer a bonus that multiplies by ten the points obtained in the “Google Play Points” program for each purchase you make in the store.
