This is how the results of the surveys will be seen on WhatsApp

The latest leaks already show us what the results of the WhatsApp surveys will be like, a function that will allow making decisions in groups more easily. Instead of using external services, the surveys will now be integrated into the WhatsApp application itself.

The results will show the number of votes and the percentage they represent of each of the options, which for now will be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12 possible answers. If there are no changes, it seems that WhatsApp will only allow you to choose a single option per person in the surveys.

The most voted answer appears first under the name of “Top option” , which could be translated as “Favorite option”. This is what the results look like on iPhone:

At the moment, the results of the polls do not indicate what each participant chose , something that we do not know if it will be the case in the final version. Perhaps WhatsApp adds the possibility of seeing each person’s vote, or offers privacy settings so that the creator of the poll decides if the results are public.

We do not know when the surveys will be launched, for the moment these screenshots of the results come from the beta of WhatsApp for iOS. But they only appear in the internal code of the application, those who have the trial version cannot use them yet.

Without a doubt, polls will simplify decision-making in groups , and avoid depending on external services such as Doodle. Less expert users are reluctant to open the links in WhatsApp, in case they are malicious, and thus a very useful function is added natively.

In WhatsApp groups it is common to make joint decisions (the menu of a dinner, for example), and thus it becomes more comfortable to have the results at hand. That yes, the surveys do not stop being an element prior to the arrival of the WhatsApp Communities, where the capacities of the groups will be expanded much more.

Of course, WhatsApp surveys are a great idea , and let’s hope they don’t take too long to launch for all users of the messaging platform.
