The YouTube app for iOS and Android is renewing its interface with some significant changes that affect the platform’s video player, so we’re going to tell you all the news that we’ll see soon in the version of the app for both systems.
Keep in mind that the new changes in this specific section of the YouTube app are progressively reaching all users, therefore, as a YouTube user you could already have them or, on the contrary, they would not have arrived yet.
This is a fairly common situation, but not only with YouTube, but with other types of new features in very different applications, which at first are not available to all users at the same time, but are gradually deployed.

When we talk about player, we refer to the section from which YouTube videos are played. The renovation of the interface affects some player options themselves , which are now completely transparent and we see some changes in place, as we see in an image from the Equal Leaks Telegram channel.
We are not referring to the controls themselves that allow you to pause, play the video or go forward or backward, but to other buttons, specifically those that allow you to like or dislike, add playlist, save for watch later and share.
If we compare the interface of this new player with the old one (which is the one most users now have), apart from the transparency of these buttons , we see that in the new one these controls now appear in the video itself when we want to pause the reproduction.
Right now you have to slide the screen up for these buttons to appear on the video. To this we must add that the possibility of seeing more videos now also appears on the video , just on the right side in a box. All this is when you make a press to stop the video playback.
For the rest, there will be no more changes, at least in terms of aesthetics, what is clear with this renovation of the design of the YouTube video player is that it is intended that the user has all the controls and options of the video by hand when you touch the screen.
