WhatsApp continues to work on more features and will soon enable an option that will allow users to activate automatic deletion in their existing chats , thus expanding the capabilities that this functionality of the messaging application already provides.
Until now, it is only possible to configure the disappearance of the message in a certain time for new chats after its activation, the main novelty is that the option that is now being worked on will offer the possibility of enabling it for all conversations.

Through WABetaInfo we observe that the screen to configure the time in which the messages disappear is renewed with a new parameter at the end called “by selecting them” to be able to mark those chats that you want to have the function enabled.
Within there, the user would select all the conversations to turn them into chats whose messages disappear after the indicated time, which can be 24 hours, 7 days or a maximum of 90 days. It is a much more comfortable section for what we explain now.
And it is that until now you would have to go chat by chat to activate the option to make the messages disappear, and this parameter facilitates that process, what’s more, it eliminates it because you can select all the conversations at once to activate the parameter.
Once the conversations have been chosen, the messages that are received or sent will be ready to be automatically deleted within the set period. The capture has been obtained in a developing version of WhatsApp for Android, then we will see it in beta.
It is assumed that this novelty will also be available on WhatsApp for iOS , as well as on WhatsApp Web and Desktop, although at the moment there is no news about it, nor when it will be made available to all users, it will surely take months to arrive.
It remains to be seen if the possibility of enabling the deletion of automatic messages in existing chats will be part of the WhatsApp news for 2022, most likely yes, just like the reactions of WhatsApp and others that have already been arriving in the last days.
