If you use WhatsApp and ignore the Status tab, today we have bad news for you. The company is working to implement a new way to view these statuses that hardly anyone uses. It is a function that is already leaving more than one complaint and that you will have no choice but to use. WhatsApp States are going to sneak into the main interface so that, yes or yes, you have to see them.
This type of ephemeral content copied from Instagram is rarely used in the app. The most normal thing is that only 5 or 6 people use a contact list of several hundred. WhatsApp does not want to admit it and instead of eliminating them it will enhance them.
WhatsApp statuses will now be in the chats tab
Until now, the status tab has gone unnoticed by many users: those who know this content visit it and the rest only pay attention to the chat tab. WhatsApp is implementing a change so that statuses are also displayed in the chats tab .
These will do so with a green ring around the user’s profile picture . It is very similar to the ring that appears on Instagram to indicate that this user has new stories that you have not seen. Now this comes to WhatsApp.
Contacts you have in the chats tab, who upload statuses, will now display a green ring around their profile picture . This will indicate that you have pending content to view. If you click on their profile picture it will no longer take you to the conversation, but to their states.
The function is already implemented in the beta version of WhatsApp and it is a matter of little time before it reaches everyone. If you don’t like the statuses and don’t want to see them, now you have to put up with them in the main chat interface.
