Google Play Store and Services are updated with interesting news: update now

Two key elements of Android phones are Google Play Store and Services , the first is the app store, and the second provides many general features. The latest update adds new features , which will be quite useful on a daily basis.

Now Play Store 28.8 and Play Services 22.02.03 arrive , and the company has shared the news included, something that did not happen in the past. They are small tweaks that improve the experience in the operating system and in the installed apps.

Let’s remember that Play Store and Play Services are not only used for mobile phones, they are also used in Android TV for televisions, Android Auto for cars and Wear OS in smartwatches.

Among the novelties, it stands out that passwords can now be added manually to Google Password Manager , since until now it was only possible to store them after entering them on a website or app.

A new method to log in to Android TV from the mobile is also integrated, and the interface of the Contacts app is retouched. Changes to Wallet (Google Pay) include SMS verification for more bank cards, improved search, and a redesign of the home screen.

At the interface level, we received a system to explain what’s new in Android when it receives updates , and now the Google account section in the settings is better adapted to each platform.

We have explained what to do when Google Play Services does not work, as it is a very serious problem, and updating to the latest version is usually the first step.

We have already indicated how to update the Google Play Store, something that is normally done automatically. Anyway, we can force it from this menu:

Regarding Play Services, the most comfortable thing is to update all the apps of the step system, in the following route:

Play Store -> Manage apps and device -> Update all

As always, it is a good idea to update the Google Play Store and Services , as these two elements allow you to keep your devices up to date, even if they are no longer receiving major versions of Android.
