We still don’t know who had the brilliant idea to add the last connection time and “online” status to WhatsApp chats. Since these features came to the platform they have been quite problematic , although it seems that we are getting closer to them no longer being so.
At the end of last year, the update that allows you to hide the “last seen” of WhatsApp to specific contacts arrived. WhatsApp will add an official function so you can hide that you are online
Soon you will no longer have to use a WhatsApp MOD (which many of them usually cover up Trojans) to hide that you are online. The guys from WABetaInfo , experts in filtering the latest news from the messaging app, have revealed this new feature that will come to WhatsApp and is expected to be available in both the Android and iOS versions.
As you can see in the image above provided by the media, this function will be added to the section where the “last seen” feature is configured. Likewise, everything seems to indicate that you will be able to choose between hiding for everyone that you are online, or for a specific group of contacts . Unfortunately, no further information is known about this new feature as it is at a very early stage of development.
When can online status be hidden? At the moment, the WhatsApp team has not announced the official date on which this new function, long awaited by its users, will arrive . We will keep you informed in case there is any news about the arrival of this feature.
