Motorola is preparing a Moto G as its most special mid-range of 2022. The terminal goes by the name of Motorola Moto G42 and is a device that wants to compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11. Leaks already reveal its design and key features . It is very likely that it will be launched with a contained price to rival Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone. Will he get it?

A render of the device has been leaked revealing its design. It will have very similar lines to other company models, with flat frames and a rectangular camera module. On the front there is a hole in the screen and on the sides a lock button that is also a fingerprint sensor .
It is a fairly standard design that seeks to please a large part of the public. The really interesting thing is inside, as its list of features seems to be based on that of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11.
Its screen is 6.4 inches , it has a FullHD + resolution and OLED technology. The chosen processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 along with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It is the same screen + RAM + storage + processor configuration that the Redmi Note 11 has.
Its triple camera is made up of a 50 MP main sensor , an 8 MP ultra wide angle and a 2 MP macro. The front camera is 13 MP. Again, it is an almost identical section that can be enjoyed on the Xiaomi mobile .
Its battery is 5,000 mAh and has a charge of 18W. Same capacity as the Redmi Note 11 with a slightly lower fast charge. Of course, the Motorola Moto G42 seems to arrive with Android 12, something that Xiaomi has not yet sent to its devices fresh from the oven.
Motorola has a good strategy in hand
The company has traced the list of features of one of the most sought after Xiaomi of the moment. If you manage to place it below the price, you could get a good market share. In essence, it is a very similar smartphone that includes Android 12 and that could be available in Latin American markets where Xiaomi does not yet have a place.
