OnePlus is preparing a new high-end device for the end of 2022 . It’s going to be the OnePlus 10T , the evolution of the OnePlus 10 Pro. Despite not having the last name “Pro”, the new device will be more advanced and interesting. We already know some details of its internal characteristics and a series of images of its design have been leaked.
The most important thing is that it loses one of the essential features of OnePlus mobiles. Since its inception OnePlus has included this detail in all its high-end devices and now this OnePlus 10T could be the first to not have it. What are we talking about? From the Alert Slider .
This will be the first OnePlus without Alert Slider
For those of you who have never owned a OnePlus device, the Alert Slider is the physical switch to change volume modes. Yes, it is something very similar to what Apple mobiles have included for years. OnePlus included it in the OnePlus One and since then all the high-end have enjoyed it.
This Alert Slider is more advanced than the Apple switch, since it has 3 positions: normal, silent and vibration . If you’ve ever had a OnePlus mobile, you’ll appreciate this extra button that practically no other Android smartphone includes.
The upcoming OnePlus 10T has been leaked in various renders revealing a design without Alert Slider. We do not know if it is a detail that has been omitted by mistake or something on purpose. If true, this device would lose one of the things that made the company popular. First it was the price, then the software, and now the Alert Slider.
Premium high-end features
Beyond the design we also know details of the internal characteristics. How could it be otherwise, this OnePlus 10T will be a true high-end beast . Hardware-wise, it is expected to be one of the best smartphones of 2022 .
Its screen will reach 6.7 inches, it will have a FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The performance will be in charge of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor , a more advanced chip than the current OnePlus 10 Pro.
An absurd amount of RAM and good storage will also be identity in this device. As for cameras, a triple module of 50 + 16 + 2 MP signed by Hasselblad is expected.
