Preview photos sent as Documents
One of the features that users of this messaging platform have requested the most is being able to have a preview of the photos when they are sent as a document. This practice is done to prevent the image from losing quality when compressed, but it does not allow you to have a preview; However, that is about to change, as WhatsApp will allow you to view photos in this mode.
Search shortcut in conversations
Until now, users had to go through the entire context menu to be able to search for some content in a chat. With the new feature, users will be able to do a search directly from a button that will be next to calls and video calls, the bad news is that for now it will only be in beta version.
Backup limit is set
Users had unlimited backups on Google Drive; however, some bugs were found in the application code of the copy. From now on, backup copies will be limited , to further protect user data.
Reactions in the chats
WhatsApp users, both on mobile phones and computers, will have the possibility of adding reactions as in Facebook or Instagram messaging. Clearly in a feature adopted from its sister apps in Meta, it will be enough for users to make a long press on a message and then they will be able to add the emoji of their choice, being able to choose between thumbs up, heart, laughter, surprise, tear and joined hands.
New look for video calls
Finally, among the novelties that will be incorporated into WhatsApp during March 2022 is the redesign of video calls. Users will now see a light green hue being used and the addition of contact information cards. In group calls, new colored borders are added , highlighting who is speaking at that moment, in addition, the voice waves of each participant are incorporated.
Also, it is possible that the Communities will be incorporated into WhatsApp during March, although for now there is no definitive date of arrival of this feature.
