Xiaomi breaks the charging record: less than 8 minutes from 0 to 100%

Yesterday we talked about the derisory charging capacity of the new iPhone 14 and today we have a Xiaomi record as news. The company has just certified a load that, if it reaches the market, would be the most powerful and fastest in the world . Currently the record is held by iQOO, a Chinese brand that offers a fast charge of 200W. Now Xiaomi wants to top it with 210W !

Xiaomi also has a 200W charge , but not in the real market: it has carried out a series of tests with the Xiaomi 11 Ultra. This charge we talked about took a full charge from 0 to 100 in just 8 minutes.

Xiaomi wants to recharge the battery in less than 8 minutes

Xiaomi has just certified a fast charge that reaches 210W of power . Why this figure? It is possible that the company has managed to lower the 8-minute barrier, so it does not need more to achieve another milestone.

The charger is certified, so it has the possibility of officially going on the market. Whether Xiaomi will include this load in a real terminal is a complete unknown. With this type of load it is possible to enter enough energy to spend several hours in just a few minutes.

The 8 or 7 minutes we are talking about are to recharge a 4,000 mAh cell , so these times may be affected if the size of the cell is larger. With this type of load it is smarter to include smaller batteries, since a couple of minutes give you several hours.

Will it be the fast charge of the Xiaomi 13?

Xiaomi may have developed this new payload to release on future devices. The closest high-end terminal seems to be the Xiaomi 13 or Xiaomi 13 Ultra , which could achieve a record in charging speed.

What do you think of this type of fast charging ? Would you like to have it on your smartphone?
