More and more apps are adding subscriptions to offer better features or some kind of exclusivity. Until now WhatsApp had not tested it, but as reported by the WABetainfo website, this could change very soon.
In a few words, the most widely used instant messaging service in the world, WhatsApp, will offer a kind of subscription within the Business version , which would allow certain extra functions to be unlocked.
A monthly subscription you shouldn’t have to worry about
Bearing in mind that Meta was thinking of some kind of system to be able to monetize WhatsApp , this new subscription would open up a new form of income for them. Of course, it would only affect companies that have an account on WhatsApp Business (for now).
Thanks to the leak that has been known in the beta version of WhatsApp Business, the company in question had to go out and explain what this subscription is about:
“The subscription plan is reserved for WhatsApp business accounts and offers several additional features. One of the most important is related to the number of devices that can be linked. With this subscription it will be possible to connect up to 10 devices”.
In summary, those people who contract this subscription will be able to link their WhatsApp account with up to 10 devices at the same time.
Will this subscription reach the normal version of WhatsApp?
As we mentioned above, the subscription plan will only be available for WhatsApp Business. In addition, it is also not known when this function will be released so that all users who have an account in the business app can access the subscription in question.
Without much more to add, WhatsApp has reported that it does not rule out the possibility of a similar subscription for normal users in the future , although little is known about this yet.
