An upcoming WhatsApp update will modify the selector window to send photos and videos , which will be easier to use this way. Sending photos is one of the most frequent actions in the application, so any improvement will be well received.
WhatsApp’s new media picker includes a gallery tab and a recent photo and video tab , making it easy to use. In addition, it allows us to select several elements at the same time, always within the limit of 30 images that can be sent on WhatsApp at the same time.
This new interface appears when we swipe up on WhatsApp’s internal camera , and represents an improvement over the current one, it only includes recent photos and videos. Therefore, using the attach icon from a chat will still use the same layout.
For now this function is in testing, but we can already see what it looks like in leaked images:
That is, now it will be easy to send photos from the gallery if we enter through the WhatsApp camera. It’s not the fastest system, but sometimes we think about taking a new screenshot, and realize we already have a more appropriate one, so the media picker is a useful shortcut.
This new method appears hidden in version 2.22.4.4 of the WhatsApp beta. For now there is no way to activate it, but it should reach everyone in the future. It is always a good idea to update WhatsApp frequently to make sure that we get the news in a timely manner.
The new multimedia selector for the WhatsApp camera is an advance , not very noticeable, but it joins the different tweaks that the application is making almost continuously, to keep its interface modern and practical.
