WhatsApp adds support via chat in the app

Finally , WhatsApp technical support returns through the chat of the app itself , a function that has been eliminated a long time ago and that is being progressively reactivated for all Android and iPhone users.

The options to contact by WhatsApp are not perfect, because we almost always get automated responses, but at least we will not have to resort to email , which was illogical in the middle of 2022.

Also, given that the objective of WhatsApp Business is precisely that companies interact with their customers by instant messaging, it was a bit strange that the platform itself did not do it.

WhatsApp technical support is still available in the same application menu:

Settings -> Help -> Contact us

If the news has already reached us, on the screen where we write the message we will see a notice that says “We will answer you in a WhatsApp chat” , with this aspect:

Before sending the request we will see a series of possible solutions in the FAQ section , if we decide to send the message anyway, a chat with WhatsApp Support opens.

It is a group conversation with the official account, which shows the green badge of verified accounts. The idea is to avoid scams in which they try to impersonate the company’s support, a common practice for account theft.

We are assigned a case number for the question or request , as you can see in the following image:

The response may take time if it passes the filters to reach a human being, although we will most likely receive an automated response. There doesn’t seem to be a system that guarantees talking to a real person.

For now, WhatsApp support from the app is being rolled out little by little , if we still don’t have it, we must be patient. Of course, it is worth updating WhatsApp to see if it reaches our mobile sooner.

Although WhatsApp support from the app itself is a step forward , in general, messaging and social network apps tend to provide quite poor customer service. Being free, it is difficult for them to provide us with solutions when things do not work well.
