This will be the surveys in WhatsApp groups: first images

We already have images of future WhatsApp polls , a feature that will soon come to groups to facilitate joint decision-making. The screenshots of the surveys come from WhatsApp Desktop for PC and the iPhone version, showing a design as expected.

The company is working on WhatsApp Communities to power group chats , and polls will be a useful addition. Not the only one, because along with them will come the reactions to the messages, the sending of files of up to 2 GB, calls of up to 32 participants and the ability for administrators to delete messages from other people.

The surveys will have a simple operation, its creator will choose the elements that we can choose, and the members of the group will vote for their favorite. Currently, in WhatsApp it is necessary to use external tools such as Doodle, so they are a useful addition.

This is how the surveys will look on WhatsApp for computers (whose interface is very similar to WhatsApp Web):

The surveys will have one question and from 2 to 12 answers , the content of which is encrypted. At least for now, it seems that you can only choose one option, there will be no possibility to mark more than one answer.

This will be the interface to create a new survey in the groups:

The images have been obtained because WhatsApp already includes the surveys in the code of the latest updates, but for now it is not possible to use them.

That yes, the development seems quite advanced, because in iOS they have also been able to obtain captures. Unfortunately, we do not know when the surveys will be launched , as the company has not given official information about it.

Many WhatsApp groups need to make joint decisions, be it from friends, co-workers, schools and other organizations. Adding native support for surveys will help the less tech-savvy, who won’t need to turn to an external service.

Of course, first it would be nice to receive a much-desired novelty like using WhatsApp from two mobiles at the same time, which seems almost ready after years of waiting. The surveys are an extra to enhance the groups , which will be well received, but will not make much of a difference on a day-to-day basis.
