Cloud gaming is becoming more and more established. There are not a few companies that have opted for these services , however, are there devices intended solely for this? At first glance it reminds us of the design of the Nintendo Switch, but betting on integrated controls as in the Lite version of said console, and at the same time the contrast between the predominant white and the black details of the OLED version. Although there are several portable consoles, it is inevitable to compare it with the most popular of the moment.

The button layout is not risky at all, with the classic design already well established on consoles . The left stick is at the top, while the right stick is at the bottom. Similarly, we find a D-Pad in the lower left; and the classic X/Y/A/B buttons, with the Xbox layout, at the top right. It also features two buttons on the sides of the screen: a Home button on the right side, and a yellow Logitech G logo button on the left.

Regarding the rest of the buttons: the double triggers on each side could not be missing, as well as the volume buttons on the black edge of the upper part, where we also find a slider switch whose function is unknown. On the same edge there seems to be a slot for the memory card and maybe also for a SIM card , considering the type of console it will be.

The Logitech G Gaming Handheld console carries Android and various cloud gaming services

Regarding the operating system, the presence of Google Play in the leaked images makes something very clear: it will have Android, so we can forget about a console with Windows or another system . Does this mean that it will be like a cell phone? It seems not, and that it will have its own customization layer that reminds us a bit of console operating systems.

We also find other applications: Xbox Game Pass , to have access to Xbox Cloud Gaming; GeForce Now , NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service; Xbox , with the Remote Play function to play on your console; Steam Mobile , now that they have revamped the app and its Remote Play feature; Chrome , Google’s browser opening the doorway to Stadia; and finally, YouTube , making it clear that it can be used for other entertainment media such as videos.

Of the rest of the elements present there is not much to talk about . At the top left we have icons for contacts, messages, pictures, settings, and power off, so many Android features won’t be ruled out . On the other side, on the right, are the battery, WiFi, Bluetooth and time indicators.

When will the Logitech G Gaming Handheld console be officially announced and launched?
