Thinking of sharing your World Goal account? Well, go collecting €5000

No compartas tu cuenta de Gol Mundial podrias llevarte una cara sorpresa

Of the many platforms and applications to watch the World Cup in Qatar 2022, there is no doubt that Gol Mundial is one of the best. This is a service launched by Mediapro that offers Internet transmission of the 64 World Cup matches in Spain for a single payment of 20 euros. So far so good, but what very few know is that cheap can be expensive (if you break the rules, of course).

Like the vast majority of streaming services (Netflix, DAZN, Disney+, among others), Gol Mundial does not allow you to share your account with other users . What happens if you do? Well, it has been revealed that the fine could be up to 5000 euros.

Do not share your World Goal account: you could get an expensive fine

Jorge Morell, a lawyer for Terms and Conditions , explains that a violation of Gol Mundial’s privacy policies could result in a fine of at least 5,000 euros . This is because the service uses a personalized “finger print” code that is linked to each user’s account. This appears periodically on the screen and allows to identify the accounts that have infringed in fraudulent uses of the retransmission.

Likewise, the legal expert assures that, for the purposes of the law, infringing the rules of use of Gol Mundial could be considered as “less serious breaches” and “on a small scale” that carry fines of 5,000 euros. However, these terms lack accuracy, so there is a question about whether sharing an account with a friend can be considered within this type of infraction.

In any case, it would be a disproportionate compensation that could be appealed according to article 85.6 of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users. Now, what does assure you of a significant fine is sharing your account with a bar or business premises . This is because Gol Mundial clearly details in its privacy policies that it only offers contracts to private clients, that is, accounts for personal and non-commercial use.

And you… Do you think the fine of 5,000 euros that you can receive if you share your World Goal account is excessive?
