These are the Xiaomi mobiles that will not receive any more updates, yours?

The official list of Xiaomi mobiles that will not receive any more updates has been published, since the company considers that its commercial life has ended. Therefore, they will not have MIUI 13 or security patches , they are left without any new software version.

This list has been updated for April 2022, as more older phones are added over time. We also know the Xiaomi phones that will be updated to MIUI 13, in many cases including the update to Android 12.

The company considers these phones to be End of Life (EOL), which means “end of life” . They will no longer receive any updates, not even Android security patches, except if a very serious vulnerability is discovered that Xiaomi considers it essential to correct.

These are the mobiles of the Xiaomi Mi ranges that stop updating:

  1. Xiaomi Mi.
  2. Xiaomi Mi 2 and 2A.
  3. Xiaomi Mi 3.
  4. Xiaomi Mi 4, 4S and 4c.
  5. Xiaomi Mi 5, 5s, 5s Plus, 5c and 5X.
  6. Xiaomi Mi 6 and 6X.
  7. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, 8 Lite and 8 Explorer Edition.
  8. Xiaomi Mi 9 SE.
  9. Xiaomi Mi Note, Note 2, Note 3 and Note Pro.
  10. Xiaomi A1, A2 and A2 Lite.

Therefore, it is no longer safe to use these smartphones in the future. Although users especially miss the update to MIUI 13, the biggest problem is that without security patches they will be increasingly vulnerable to attacks.

These are the Xiaomi Redmi series phones without MIUI 13 or other updates:

  1. Redmi 1 and 1S.
  2. Redmi 2 and 2A.
  3. Redmi 3, 3S and 3X.

Of course, it is bad news that these Xiaomi phones do not have an update to MIUI 13 or security patches , but they are old phones and it is understandable that they are left behind. Especially since after MIUI 13 the first Xiaomi mobiles that will update to Android 13 at the end of 2022 and in 2023 are already in sight.
