These are the rental prices of the iPhone with the new Apple subscription

The rumors and leaks about the subscription to have a rental iPhone do not stop, and now we get the first estimates of the monthly prices that would have to be paid for the Apple phone.

Various sources suggest that Apple would like to depend less on stores and operators directly offering the subscription to an iPhone. As long as we pay the fee, we would be guaranteed the annual renewal of the new iPhone model , but it would never become our property.

In essence, it would work like a rental, when we stop paying we would have to return the iPhone , or Apple would block it remotely, apart from other legal actions it could take.

Experts in the Apple ecosystem suggest that subscription prices would be somewhat cheaper than the 24-month financing fee for the iPhone , so that it is an attractive option for consumers.

Here are the estimated prices for Apple’s iPhone subscription :

  1. iPhone 13 for $35 a month.
  2. iPhone 13 Pro for $45 a month.
  3. iPhone 13 Pro Max for $50 a month.

The prices in euros would be somewhat higher , something usual for Apple when making the conversion, due to the higher taxes paid in Europe.

Unlike opting for financing, the subscription would never give us ownership of the mobile , but the right to renew it annually at no additional cost.

Since refurbished iPhones would become Apple’s, it would gain more power in the used market. You could sell them on your own as “refurbished” or retire them to increase the value of new iPhones.

It is also pointed out that with the hardware subscription to the iPhone some extra service would be added , such as iCloud cloud storage. Looking at the prices of Apple One, it is unlikely that the complete package will be included.

The future iPhone subscription would launch in late 2022 or early 2023 , it is not clear yet. In recent years, Apple has entered the world of banking services, eliminating dependence on Intel thanks to its M1 chips, and now it seems that it is looking to ditch operators and stores when it comes to selling its mobiles.

The motivation would also be economic, because with an iPhone renewal cycle every 3 years, a user would pay more by opting for the subscription . With the rental, the customer benefits from a new mobile every year, so Apple must continue to keep manufacturing costs very tight for the model to be profitable.

Of course, the iPhone rental subscription is a striking model , since it would tie us to a monthly fee for using a mobile phone, but the decision seems to have been made according to the leaks, and the question is only when it will be presented.
