Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and Redmi K40 run out of virtual RAM after receiving Android 12

The problem first affected the Mi 11 Ultra and the Redmi K40 with the MIUI Chinese ROM . All Mi 10s still have virtual RAM available after installing the latest version of Android.
However, will Xiaomi mobiles in the global ROM also run out of memory extension? So far, the brand has not said anything about it. The loss of this popular feature may only occur in the Chinese version of Xiaomi’s customization layer.
Without a doubt, virtual RAM is one of the great improvements that came with MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition. So it is quite disappointing that the adjustment disappears from the most powerful Xiaomi phones.
There are two theories that could explain why Xiaomi with Android 12 no longer have virtual expansion available :
- It may be necessary to remove this setting to adapt Google OS to MIUI .
- Or, on the other hand, Xiaomi may have realized that virtual RAM does not improve the performance of its flagships much. For this reason, the brand decided to remove the function of mobiles such as the Mi 11 Ultra and include it only in less powerful smartphones .
