The foldable Google Pixel performance test is filtered: Tensor 2 confirmed

In 2019 a rumor surfaced that Google was working on a foldable Pixel . However, we had to wait until 2021 to have another news about the long-awaited big G mobile. In that year, it was leaked that the Pixel Fold would arrive with a folding screen manufactured by Samsung and that it would be launched before 2022, although this ultimately it didn’t happen.

Well, although the rumored folding Pixel was expected to be presented this year along with the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, Google left us wanting again and doubts were already beginning about the existence of this terminal .

Fortunately, a few weeks ago there was a massive Google Pixel Fold leak that restored hopes of seeing this foldable soon. And now, the results of the performance tests of the expected folding have been revealed, which assure us of three things: the Pixel Fold exists, it is powerful and it is already on the way.

The MySmartPrice medium has been in charge of filtering the result obtained by the Google Pixel foldable in the famous Geekbench performance benchmark . This is the tab of a new mobile that appears with the code name “Google Felix” , a name that has usually been used in the Pixel Fold leaks.

Well, one of the first things we can extract from this leak is that it is confirmed that the Google foldable will have the Tensor G2 processor accompanied by the Mali-G710 graphics. In fact, it got similar performance scores on both the single-core (1,047 points) and multi-core (3,257 points) tests to those of the Pixel 7 using this same chipset.

It is well known that Google processors such as the Tensor G2 are not noted for their high clock speeds . MediaTek and Qualcomm’s flagship SoCs for mobile (Dimensity 9200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) far outperform Google’s chipset in performance benchmarks.

But what the big G processors are better at is their image processing and artificial intelligence optimization. This has led the brand to make its terminals the kings of mobile photography on the market (like the Pixel 7 Pro).

And you… Are you looking forward to the arrival of the Google Pixel Fold?
