In the youtuber’s tweet, it is revealed that the deceased woman used to sleep with her mobile next to the pillow, close to her face. That fateful day the Redmi 6a that he had exploded causing his death. The official account of Xiaomi India replied to the tweet of the deceased person’s nephew, stating the following:

The Redmi 6a is a mobile launched in 2018, which means that it has already been on the market for 4 years. Honestly, it doesn’t seem so old to us that it explodes out of nowhere , although it is true that behind an explosion the conditions to which the mobile was exposed and the possible misuse it has received over those years have a lot to do with it.
Let’s hope that Xiaomi will soon reveal the details of the investigation , since one of its mobiles explodes out of nowhere is quite worrying. And it is not the first time it has happened: in 2018 a Xiaomi Mi A1 exploded while it was charging.
